Pot Roast of Beef with Browned Potatoesdw's tip: get a roast marked "pot roast" or the worst cut you can find.
The
Beef Stew recipe, remarkably similar to the pot roast recipe.
dw's tip 1: pour in a Guinness right before the hot water.
dw's tip 2: use "stewing beef", not chopped sirloin.
Both recipes are super-easy, highly configurable, and create their own perfect gravy. Huge hits at my house, usually on Sunday nights.
